OUR STORY

Yume Ga Arukara, in Japanese, means “Because I Have Dream”. It was founded in 2016 by Tsuyoshi Nishioka & Juan Carlos Vidal. Their partnership was inevitable as both of them are well established in the Japanese culinary scene in Boston.

Udon has been in existence for over 1000 years and is prepared and served in a variety of ways. At Yume Ga Arukara, we let our udon shine through in its simplest form with a cold dipping sauce and topped with sweet & savory beef.

OUR CRAFT

Yume Ga Arukara’s goal is to maintain the integrity of each dish by making everything in house, from scratch and with proper respect to the ingredients. This is true for every component, including the udon itself, which is made daily with our imported Japanese noodle machine, to the simple yet complex cold dipping sauce all the way down to the hand grated ginger. Everything is diligently prepared and made with passion by our hardworking team.

OUR VISION

When asked what Yume Ga Arukara means, co-founder Tsuyoshi Nishioka simply said, “If my kids ask me ‘why do you work everyday’, I want to tell them ‘Because I Have Dream’.” That was the origin for the name Yume Ga Arukara. To him, it meant that if you work hard you can achieve anything. This also aligned with Juan Carlos’ goal. They wanted to create a dish and place that helped bring people together where they could simply enjoy; and that’s exactly what Yume Ga Arukara was able to achieve.

The team continues to keep this vision alive by staying true to their authentic preparation and technique, and at the end of the day, letting the food speak for itself. We hope our customers can taste and feel the difference when they experience our udon.
